Texture

The first element I chose to explore was texture.  My thoughts on texture were, how the texture could make the pear more interesting.  I went into the backyard and just took a ton of pictures with the pear with different textures around it.  Being quite limited in my resources, I used a chair, sand, and grass.  I am not sure how successful these images were, but I am do like the photograph of the pear in the grass.

COLOR:  The second element I chose to explore was the use of color.  I wanted to try to make the color of the pear and background appear brighter than it would if it were by itself.  I used pink, red (complimentary color) and yellow as background colors.  The pink and green combination was the most successful (color wise, although not compositionally).  The yellow and green combination was the least successful, the colors became muted.
